Seattle, WA and onward to the sea!

The first "stop" on our cruise was Seattle, WA. We flew into Sea-Tac and took a bus to the Pier to meet our ship. The ship was called the Star Princess. It was raining in Seattle when we arrived, (rain was a theme on this trip!)but by the time our ship set sail the rain had cleared. However, it was windy and cold! I insisted we stay on deck to see the Emerald City from the ship. It was VERY chilly. Elaine was wearing sandals, and at one point her toes were blue.

You can see how windy it is by looking at the pool:
Rob ditched me and went inside the Skywalk. You can see him in there and Elaine joined him for a little while.

But there was a rainbow! A beautiful rainbow that curved right over the space needle! I got this great picture:

Isn't that awesome?

Dave and Mary (friends of Nick and Elaine's who also went on this trip) joined us on the bow of the ship for an "embarkation cocktail". Then we all went inside because it was so darn windy!

Onward to the sea. We sailed thru the night and the entire next day. But don't you worry-there was plenty for us to do on the ship:
Like Bingo in the 'Vista Lounge'. (Mary won!!)

Nick explored all the places to eat, (which was pretty much the whole ship). He continued to 'explore' throughout our journey. I think the buffet staff knew him by name.

There was this Russian guy in a leather outfit doing tricks with this metal cube: (the cube is spinning in this shot.)
At one point he removed the leather coat and was just in leather pants. I'm not sure what that had to do with his cube tricks, but that's OK.
Our ship encountered a bit of rough sea. Look at the sway of the pool water in this video:
I'm not sure why those people were still in it. It was so rocky, people would sway as they walked down the hallway. It was like the whole ship was drunk.
Dinner that night was formal dress. Isn't my husband handsome??
Tomorrow we arrive in Ketchikan, AK at 6am! Can you guess what the weather will be?
